Vinland Saga has great soundtrack, great character development and a deep message

Stuff like this makes you realize that so much effort has been put into this show by the staff. Vinland saga fans are blessed to have this amazing adaptation.

This season of vinland has shown me two things....
* The unnecessary beef and intolerance a lot of anime viewers have towards each other.... For the dumbest reasons.
* The unnecessary intolerance the anime community has against change outside of expectations. Feels like tropes are now more important to anime viewers than the anime itself....... Explains why Isekais, the most repetitive genre in anime gets so much watch.

But he's just as right as you are. For us action-junkies, this show turned into a boredom fest that sucks. To give an example of my view on this episode, i wanted to see the fighting, not Arnheid's dreams of some deer in the forest some distance from her husbands cart (dream that we already saw a couple of times in the previous episodes).

The show attracted many action junkies with the first season, myself included, and the 2nd season just left us with blue balls.

And yet it's still really good. Just goes to show that it's not all just fighting that makes a good show. If all you want to see is the fights then why even watch every episode? At this point, just let the entire show end and just go to youtube and watch every fight there and not waste your time lol.
Just don't blame the show for not understanding what they are fighting for when the time comes.

You've got a second season that completely denies first season. The protagonist's actions are completely unjustified and simply not believable. I can't believe it and i don't want to believe it. Not even children will believe a cold hearted murderer and elite soldier who grew up killing and traumatised got over it all by cutting trees and planting wheat. Oh, by chance he's also a viking that heard of the bible and converted to God. It's lazy writing.

Did you forget the reason thorfin did all those killings? His main goal was to kill askeladd. When he died he lost his reason to fight and to continue to live. It makes perfect sense that he changed as a person tf

Has nothing to do with bom boom shit. It has to do with following the direction the first season traced. I love chill anime as well, i dont need all of it to be full super action. I had expectations for Vinland Saga however.

It still has a lot more of action in Season 3 it's just that the very theme of this anime isn't about fighting but the opposite.

In savage old times, peace would most likely only be achieved through constant fighting.

not really honestly i get what they are going for i really do but going from one extreme from full violance to the exact oposide extreme full pacifism and letting close people around you die to those warmongering people that come to take it doesn't really help much especially when Thorfinn does have good ideals for atonement that being said im going to quote something from Gundam Seed that i love "a nation with out power can't protect its ideals and yet with too much power you become a target for those that want that power so where exactly do we draw the line and who are your true enemies" Uzumi Nara Atta leader of ORB themes like this are exactly why GS is one of my all time favorite anime that its theme is all about War and the results of it

We know thorfinn can already defeat an army on his own which he's already done before, plus he beat Thorkell who was known for being able to defeat armies on his own too. Snake and Thorfinn &Thorgill probably have the force of an army on their own. I think it was a mistake to kill Gardar too, Gardar was pretty strong he would've been useful in combat to at least protect Arnheid...Snake would protect Ketil & patar and Thorfinn protects einar & leif. The other soldiers still die but the main guys survive

Not really. It just so happens that the mainstream genre right now is shounen. Outside AoT and chainsawman, most are mid or slightly overrated at best. IMO if you are looking for great stories, seinen is where it’s at and Vinland Saga is part of the Seinen Big 3 alongside Berserk and Vagabond

well what I said is true though. Outside AoT and chainsawman, most (not all) Shounen are mid. and most shounen are mainstream. Just look at demon slayer, give it to other studios outside ufotable, it would not be as hyped as it is today

Not really sure. But from my understanding those were the 3 most popular seinen manga during the time, till now even. I don't really know if sales were a factor but it is understood in the community that these 3 (plus kingdom) are the big 3(+1) in seinen

i think you didn't read my comment properly. I was never comparing AoT to vinland because in my opinion, Seinen has better story telling than shounen. I was comparing it to other shounen. Also it is a great gateway anime to other shows particularly seinen anime since AoT is basicaally a seinen published by a shounen magazine. Besides, most SHOUNEN these days are mid at best AGAIN, outside chain saw man and AoT. Take Demon slayer for example, without Ufotable animating it, it's mid at best
